The training section of the Warren County Sheriff's Office is made up of two trainers and a supervisor. They are responsible for researching and implementation of new or old training topics that are required either by current trends or mandated by higher authority. The section is also responsible for updating personnel on changes in law, rules and procedures; ensuring that all personnel training records are maintained, and that requests for outside training are processed.
Throughout the year a Deputy Sheriff and Corrections Officer will receive approximately twenty-five hours of in-house training. This includes re-certification in First Aid/CPR, and firearms qualification. For every hour of training conducted there is approximately eight hours of preparation and research needed.
