The Community Corrections Department was developed to ensure that inmates incarcerated in our facility would be able to continue their employment and provide for their families. By allowing inmates to continue their employment, they are able to pay fines, restitution, child support, or any monies owed to the court. The program also allows inmates to be placed at home on house arrest in lieu of incarceration.

The program has two (2) employees: Tana Johnson is the Program Director. She started working at the Warren County Sheriff's Office in May of 2001. She worked as a Correction's Officer for over a year. She then applied for the Community Corrections Department in October of 2002. She was assigned to the department as the Assistant Community Corrections Coordinator. In July 2003, she interviewed for the Program Director's position and was placed in that position.

Mike Steele is the Assistant Community Corrections Coordinator. Mike has been employed at the Sheriff's Office for over nine (9) years. He worked in the jail as a Community Corrections Officer until March of 2003. He then transferred to this department as Assistant Community Corrections Coordinator. He is also the Commander of our Honor Color Guard at the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

Our goal is to ensure that inmates at the Warren County Jail are able to function after their release from this facility by maintaining employment while being incarcerated. If you are an employer who is interested in hiring inmates for your company, please contact the Community Corrections Department at 513.695.2342. We welcome the opportunity to help the community in placing inmates back in the community so they are less likely to be reincarcerated.
