Honor Guard Commander
Lieutenant Scott Kennard
Formed in July of 2001, The Warren County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard has been training to be perfect in their formations and marching movements. As members of the unit, they train weekly in addition to their daily duties with the Sheriff's Office. Although not a requirement to be a member, some members of the unit are military veterans. Their specially designed uniforms and hours of practice have paid off for the Sheriff's Office. Their movements are crisp and clean and they make difficult presentations look routine.
Lieutenant Scott Kennard is one of the original members of the Honor Guard since it was formed. He has recently taken over the Honor Guard as commander. Under his command the unit was involved in the Ohio Flags of Honor presentation in Warren County. The presentation was honoring fallen service men and women of Ohio from the war in Iraq.
The Honor Guard has been involved in Ceremonial Firing Batteries (21 gun salutes), wreath presentations, posting of national colors, flag folding ceremonies and funerals. The team has also participated in Memorial Day and Independence Day parades, the dedication for the Warren County Administration building, dedication for the Warren County Police Memorial, Relay for Life opening ceremonies, Warren County Fair opening ceremonies, and the Ohio Judicial Conference Committee banquet.
If you have an event in which the Honor Guard may be of assistance in any capacity, please contact Lieutenant Scott Kennard.
