Criminal Investigation Section Sergeant Brandon Lacy

The Criminal Investigation Section (CIS) has a diverse and complex mission. Foremost, in this mission is the investigation of crime throughout the county. Although most of CIS 's time and effort is committed to criminal investigations, CIS is also involved in the following activities: Runaway Investigations, Pre-employment Investigation, Truth Verification Examinations, Sex Offender Registration and Notification, Concealed Carry Weapons Licensing (CCW), Evidence and Property Management, and Towing Company Operations.

Lieutenant Jerry Mays is the commander of the Criminal Investigation Section and is assisted by Sergeant Brandon Lacy. CIS has eight detectives, two of which are assigned to Deerfield Township. Two detectives are assigned to Children's Services, and investigate crimes against children. Detectives work closely with various law enforcement units, including the Drug Task Force, Fire Marshall, and the Prosecutor's Office, along with the uniformed deputies and police officers from various agencies.
