Ohio's Concealed Carry Law Information Regular License
- Applications will be accepted anytime on Tuesday & Wednesday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. $55.00 fee must be paid at time of application.

- No phone calls will be accepted to check on the status of your license.
Requirements for Ohio's Concealed Carry Law
- Applicant has an appointment.
- Applicant must be 21 years of age.
- Applicant must provide proper identification: a driver's license or state id card.
- Applicant has been an Ohio resident for 45 days preceding the date of the application.
- Applicant has been a resident of Warren County or an adjacent county (Butler, Clinton, Greene, Hamilton, or Montgomery) for 30 days preceding the date of the application.
- Certificate of firearms training within 3 years of the application.
- Retired law enforcement officer.
- Must have retirement credentials.
- Must have proof of current qualification status.
- Fee is waived.
- Honorably discharged from the U.S. Military.
- We accept documentation that is evidentiary that the applicant received the appropriate training within 6 years preceding the application date.
- An active or reserve member of the U.S. Military.
- Participation in acceptable employment the applicant has acquired experience in handling handguns and that the experience is equivalent to the firearms training requirements (etc. Corrections Officers, Private Security).
- Retired law enforcement officer.
- Application is complete, legible, typed or written in ink.
- Must have a passport photo provided at the time of the applicant's appointment and been taken within 30 days of the applicant's appointment. No other type of photograph accepted. Passport photos can be taken at most drug stores, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS, etc.

- Resident of State for 5 or more years ---$55.00
- Resident of State for less than 5 years ---$79.00 ($55.00 Application fee plus $24.00 for FBI record check
- (Exact change or money order made out to the Warren County Sheriff's Office. We are unable to make change).
- Applicant has received and read the Ohio's Concealed Carry Law booklet provided by the Peace Officers Training Commission.
- Applicant has no criminal history, warrants, protection orders or pending criminal issue.
- Applicant has no mental deficiencies (verified by Probate Court or Mental Health issues).
Applicant must bring the following items on the day of the appointment:
- Fee (cash or money order only)
- Passport Photograph
- Completed application (typed or in ink)
- Certification or acceptable documentation of firearms training
- Picture identification (drivers license or state i.d. card)
